Who Knows What You Can Do?

 By

Photo: si0.twimg.com

There really is no limit to what you can do. No one, not even yourself, really knows all of what you are capable of. Once you accomplish one thing, you'll seek to do another thing, and another, and eventually, you'll be doing things that you never even imagined yourself doing. Your life is not fully made up of just your past. Your life is also made up of the possibilities of your future. Many will try to predict your future, and no one is definitely sure, one thing you can be certain about is that you will give every day your all. Your talents and capabilities have so much room to grow no matter how developed they are. As you accomplish parts of your vision, your vision will become bigger because your life is meant to grow perpetually. Stay healthy and motivated so that your best days remain in front of you. Nothing is more depressing than to live in your past. Even if your past was great, your future can be greater. As you continue to learn and educate yourself, there's no telling the level of intellect you will operate on.

Spend the rest of your life discovering all your potential. You only become too spread out when you're doing a lot of things you really have no interest in. When you do what you're interested in, it really isn't work. When you have a great interest in something, you can learn all there is to know about it, without caring about the workload that is involved. That's the power of having a great interest in something. There's no telling what you can do if you stay enthusiastic and optimistic about life. The only limits you have are the ones you set for yourself. Your impact on politics, business, or your local neighborhood are all possible if you believe so. As your body recharges during your night sleep, it allows your vigor and tenacity to get a good charge as well.

This is not your time to quit. When it's your time to take a rest, it won't be to quit, it will be to get ready for the next best chapter of your life. Life does get better as it goes on. It can be difficult to take steps forward, but the resistance will only build your strength. Things that used to be hard won't be so difficult after you've gone through them. So get through everything that you face, and live to tell the story with a smile. My advice to you is to find out all the good about yourself that you have not discovered yet. Your time is coming-just be sure that you're ready. Just be sure that every day you hold nothing back.

The Power Of Focus And How To Sustain And Achieve Your Goals

Author: mphojane

Photo: i4biz.com

Many people give up persuing good ideas because of the lack of focus, and mistakingly regard this as lack of discipline. This is however a wrong conclusion. It is important to know and understand how the human brain processes ideas over four basic phases. This understanding will empower a person to sustain focus for the ultimate fullfilment of or attainment of a goal. This is a scientific understanding of focus and how to cultivate and sustain it.

The following are the four fundamental phases the brain processes for any new idea. They will help anyone who wishes to maintain focus and attain goals they have set themselves, be it losing weight, writing a book, starting a new business or any other endeavor that requires focus for success. They are the novelty phase, familiarity phase, expansion phase and commitment phase.
The novelty phase is when the brain is fired up and excited by a new idea. For example, the idea of writing a novel can be very exciting. However, this excitement will soon subside as time goes by and even if the interest is still there, the innitail excitement will have waned. This is where many people make a mistake by thinking that the idea was not a good one after all. This is how the brain resists new and unfamiliar stimuli. Understanding this will help you keep up the momentum to carry through the idea of writing that novel. Next is the familiarity phase when there is resistance to carry on the idea to its fruition. The subconscious mind of a human mind will resist any new ideas it is not familiar with. Perhaps that is why we talk of a comfort zone. Staying where we always feel comfortable.
However, in order to sustain focus, the subconscious mind will have to be fed new data that is unfamiliar by learning new things, such good grammar, proper punctuation and writing for several hours a day in the case of writing a novel. Resistance is a good sign that informs you that you need to learn new things , grow and develop in ways that are not familiar to your psyche. The third phase is the expansion phase. It is here one has to recognise that a new idea cannot prosper with knowledge that is already known. This is where many good ideas stagnate because of the lack of understanding that an idea is an extension of the person having it. For an idea to blossom, the one having it will have to grow and develop in new ways. In the example of writing a novel, this will perhaps entail being more observantnt of people, and taking notes on certain interesting things you encounter during the day.
This is expansion, as your psyche is not familiar with this kind of activity. This where the conscious mind plays a crucial role. The last phase is the commitment phase. Commitment is simply the act of consciously familiarizing the subconscious mind with new actions and thought unfamiliar to the psyche, which will ultimately become familiar and so make your focus grow steadily. It is more like building body muscle through exercise. You keep up the momentum of lifting those weights over some weeks or months until lifting weights becomes a habit that is no longer resisted by the subconscious mind.
This is how focus can be cultivated and sustained in the persuit of a set goal and it works if scientifically understood.

3 Success Habits That Will Make You Extraordinary

 By

Photo: actioncoachpeterlepinski.com

Success is not a destination, it is a journey. Success is something that you do every day, thus, if you want to be successful in life, you must adopt the right habit. And this is exactly what you will find out in this article.

1. Knowing what you want and reviewing them everyday
Do you know exactly what you want to accomplish in your life? Do you know what you want to achieve in the next 10 years, 5 years, 3 years or by the end of this year? Do you have crystal clear goals that you want to accomplish? If you don't, you will never be successful. All great achievers know what they want to do in their life and they know what they want to accomplish. This is why they are able to focus on their destination and move in the right direction.
If you don't know what you want to accomplish in your life, you will be like a lost sheep, going anywhere where other people point you to and you will end up getting nowhere. Don't let this happen to you. Find out what you want to do with your life right now and consistently thinking about it every day.

2. Stay committed and passionate with what you want
Successful people are passionate with what they do and they are committed to their dreams and goals. You must do the same. Do you know that if you are not passionate with what you do, you will give up and quit very soon? The passion in what you do will be the motivation force that keeps you going. This is because to be successful in life is not something easy and it is not something that you can achieve in a short period of time. That is why you need to be passionate so that you can go for the long run.

Are you committed with your goals and your dreams? Are you willing to sacrifice your leisure time to take action and work on your goals? Successful people are 100% committed with what they desire to achieve in their life. They put in more time and effort into working to make their dreams come true. If you are not committed, you will never be successful.
3. Believe that you can do it

When you are just a kid, you believe that you can achieve whatever you want in your life. You believe that you can climb up the tree and without hesitation, you did it. However, when you have grown up, you are unsure about yourself anymore. You doubt that you can do it. When you have the thought of climbing up the tree, you will think that it is dangerous, what if you fall, what if the branches break and all sorts of negative beliefs.

You have to start by believing that you can do it, only then you can achieve it. If you don't believe that you are destined for big success, you will never put in much effort or to even try it out.

How To Overcome Procrastination

Author: Diana Samalot

Photo: yourblackworld.ne

Procrastination is unfortunately something that a lot of us suffer from regularly, whether it's just an occasional ‘put off ‘til tomorrow' or a recurrent lack of drive and motivation. Procrastination can often hold us back from what we really want in life, and unfortunately, it's something that can crop up at any time of life, no matter who you are. A lot of people often assume that procrastination is simply being lazy, but this isn't always the case. Often, feelings of tiredness, hopelessness, panic or even depression can cause us to put things off and avoid reality completely.

Procrastination is a trap, and once we've fallen in it can be very difficult to get back out, so why do we do it? Well for many people, procrastination is simply a way of coping with emotions and physical symptoms that often come with depression, often caused by panic. The unfortunate truth is that often, a ‘snowballing' effect can happen, you may be stressed and under pressure at work, then causing you to panic, which may then trigger depression which in turn can make thing very difficult for you to do. However it happened, it's important you get out of it, otherwise you may find that nothing will ever get done because you're too miserable and negative to bring yourself to do it.

There are 5 main ‘style's of procrastination, you may feel that you fall under one mains style, or a mixture.

  • Organization and keeping track of things is very difficult

  • You fear people disapprove of you, or fear disapproval itself

  • Important tasks seem futile, and so overwhelming it feels stupid to even attempt them

  • Hostile feelings towards someone, and punishing them by putting things off

  • Routines and Schedules cause you to feel rebellious

These styles of procrastination can often also overlap in one of four different themes: Self Doubt, Discomfort Dodging, Guilt Driven and Habitual. Self Doubt is people who feel that there are rigid standards about how certain things need to be done and often fear they will fail, they often second guess themselves and will delay taking action against procrastinating. Discomfort dodging is when a person will avoid activities that will cause them anxiety, discomfort or even distress, however, often by dodging the activity, feelings and tension don't go away, and instead mount due to the avoidance. Guilt driven people often feel extreme guilt when tasks go done, but instead of acting on their guilt and working, they instead procrastinate, avoiding the issue and the guilt completely. And finally, Habitual people are people who have found procrastination to be an automatic response within their lives, they have put things off so often, that they feel it is just a part of them now, and there is nothing they can do to change it.

But there are things you can do to change it, and get out of your procrastination cycle once and for all. The first thing is a simple idea, but it works all the same – make a list! It sounds ridiculous, but it does actually work. Just go to your local stationary store and get yourself a large notebook, and make lists and plans for yourself to stick to, prioritize everything on your list in order of importance, and allocate times for these tasks to be done (1 hour, 2 hours etc). The key to battling procrastination is organization, by allocating specific times; you're ensuring that you have enough time to do everything and get it done! If a task is particularly big, then split it up into manageable time slots, making sure that progress is steady, and you're not giving yourself too much to do.

However, you also need to create some time for yourself, or ‘reward time'. Reward time gives you an incentive to get things done, because you know once it's done you can have a break and reward yourself for your hard work. Procrastination is a tough mountain to climb, but once you reach the top you're free to reap the rewards of an organized, healthy and happy lifestyle, as well as the true relief and satisfaction that comes with having nothing weighing you down!

Sudden Stress?

 By

Photo: l.yimg.com

Stress.

We all go through it.

Might as well turn a negative into a positive right?

Very easy to say and hard to do. Hard to be positive when you're mad.
I had some nasty stress a while back and got incredibly upset about it. The trouble is, when you're stressed out, angry and upset like that, it's all you can think about! It consumes you. You mentally tell them off in your head over and over again. You relive the conversation over a thousand times and you think about what you should have said and what you are going to say to them when they call again. You steam about it and stress about it and you think about nothing else for hours on end.
It consumes your life!

So what to do?
I seriously considered putting their picture on a dart board and sat at my desk and wondered how many throws it would take to get a bull's-eye. However, since we don't have a dart board I wrote an email to them instead. Wasn't very long but I told them off in my note and got it all out of my system.

I didn't send it, although I wanted to very much. Instead, I put it into my drafts file and went to bed. The very next morning I felt better and saw the situation from a completely different place, and was glad I never sent it.

The good news is that I had finally gotten them out of my system. Plus, now that they were out, it caused me to see things from a completely different perspective. I had a chance to REALLY take a look at things and finally saw the illusion of it all. Sometimes what you think you see, is not what is really there. Now I see things clearly and can finally move on from it all. The rose-colored glasses are off and the illusion is shattered.

Now here's the good part... if all this hadn't happened, I would never have found this out!
My point here is that stress can be a positive thing because it can force you to stand up... look around... and then go in a different direction! A better direction!!! If that stress hadn't been there... would I have finally seen the clear picture? Perhaps, perhaps not... but the stress forced me to look at it and now that old "baggage" is gone.

So turn your stress into a positive!! Look at it as a learning experience that is forcing you to take another look at what is going on. Stand up, look around, and then trust your intuition and walk in a new direction.

4 Easy Steps To Communication Excellenc

 By

Photo: legalplans.com

Covert and conversational hypnosis is closely related to NLP and "normal" hypnosis and is a communication excellence skill.

It is imperative that you set goals when thinking about your communication and to this end I have taken some goal setting principles which will help you in your influencing and persuasion skills.
I call my communication model C3PO.
C3PO stands for Communication = Prepare Practice Present = Outcome.

How will this help me achieve communication success?
Many of us have heard about how important it is to set goals to achieve what we want. We hear statistics saying that 95% of people in the USA do not set goals and they work for the 5% who do!
The SMART mnemonic was always the standard model for setting goals and is widely known;

S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Achievable
R - Realistic
T - Timely

This is something some people choose to do when dividing what they want to achieve in their lives but they forget to do it when they enter a communication situation.

Communication (the first part of C3PO) simply introduces us to what communication actually is and the NLP presupposition "The meaning of the communication is the response that you get" is spot on here. Own your communication so that if you do not get what you wanted or expected they try something else.
So for us to know if our communication has been successful we need to know what we wanted to achieve with that communication.

So let us go right to the end of C3PO and decide what our outcome should be. (The outcome being the O of C3PO).

Asking ourselves what we want from the encounter is vitally important. You could use the SMART mnemonic to help you decide what you want to achieve.

Then you need to follow the example of the great mentalists or mental magicians who use language and patter to achieve their great mind bending achievements. Listen to the likes of Banachek, Richard Osterlind and others to hear how they manipulate the audiences' perceptions using language.
How do you think fake psychics manage to tell you so much about yourself? They know what they want you to believe and think and they mould their communication to make that happen.

Believe me that they PREPARE themselves leaving nothing to chance. They PRACTICE until their patter becomes second nature to the point that it sounds natural and almost ad lib and then they PRESENT. If you miss out the preparation and the practice then the presenting becomes very difficult.

My father in law is a great decorator and he will spend a whole day preparing the room for the decorating. I came home once and asked him what he had been doing all day. "It is all in the preparation" was all he said before decorating the room beautifully the next day. He maintains that it only goes smoothly because of the prep.

So next time you have an important communication situation presenting itself to you then why not apply the C3PO model.
When it is time to C, Decide your O, and PPP!
C3PO

Nobody is hiring me... Why?

Author: rodolphe cote

story.not.hired.gi.jpg

Despite the many interviews you succeeded in getting, you do not get any job offer. How to find out what went wrong?

Fight the attitude of defeat! Even disappointed, job seekers must remain proactive. Here's how to get there.

EVALUATE YOUR TARGET

Make a self-assessment. Ask yourself if the desired position is right for you and why it interests you. If you have little interest in this position, you may not give your maximum during the interview. Know and recognize environments which illuminate you and match your desires. By targeting a businesses that match your values and the more you desire the job, the more convincing you will be with your recruiter.

ASK FOR FEEDBACK

Your application is not accepted? Ask the recruiter why you have not been selected. Explain to him that you really desired that position and that you wish to know how you can improve your next interview. Your last interviewer is the best person to tell you what he perceived. If the recruiter let you know that you lacked self assurance, for example, you'll need to show yourself more confident at your next interview.

KEEP A DIARY

After each interview, write in your diary your strengths and your weaknesses. If a particular question destabilized you during the interview? Prepare a good answer for your next interview. Write your skills as well as concrete examples that illustrate them. You will be able to communicate and convince the recruiter that you possess the proper required skills for the position. Never get discouraged, keep on sending resumes and cover letters to as many employers as you can, until you land the desired job. Quitting is not an option! Never refuse an interview, the more interviews, the better you will get at it.

CONSULT A PROFESSIONAL

If several job interviews end in failure, you may seek a job search professional. It will open an objective and external look at your situation. He may even simulate a job interview with you to help you improve your chances of being hired during your next job interview.

In Quebec the government has a center where you can get a three weeks training course in french or English on how to present yourself at job interviews , with a complete job research program also included, and they will help you with your CV and cover letter as well. At the Job Research Center, and remember all this is for free. So no reasons to quit. Best of luck!

What Is Your SUCCESS Formula?

By

photo: enterpriseforkids.com

Our Success Formula differs from person to person, and when a research was conducted with over 1000 Harvard graduates they found that not one of them agreed on what the definition of success is, yet in general they did agree what failure was. Failure was defined as "not achieving our goals". In his book "Think and Grow Rich", Napoleon Hill shared that the success formula works well when hinted at rather than directly named, yet in the modern world when more than 90% of the knowledge available to humanity has been made available in the past 2 years, we want to name and refine our success formulas towards "Succeeding On Purpose" rapidly and practically.

"Whatever The Mind Can Conceive, It Can Achieve" - Napoleon Hill
We at Latitude Training have been researching and workshopping this idea of a Success Formula for a few years now and have enjoyed becoming aware of the multitude of Success Formulas that exist in the work, after all we merely need to Google "success formula" and find at least 32,9 million sites featuring this exciting topic. A fast way to streamline our research was to search via Google Images as you can then get to grips with the available formulas quite quickly. So again we see a multitude of Success Formulas. So which one works? The practical one that you have tried and find meets your needs. Find something that works, then keep repeating it until you succeed.
Here are just 3 of the Success formulas I have come across are:

A. NLP Success Formula:
  1. Clarify what you want
  2. Take Action.
  3. Be aware (sensory acuity) - of what is and what isn't working
  4. Be flexible (behavioural flexibility) - if it's not working change what you are doing
  5. Operate from a psychology (mind) and a physiology (body) of excellence.
B. Latitude Training Success Model:
  1. Start with Rapport (SELF & OTHERS)
  2. Clarify your Outcomes
  3. Take leveraged action
  4. Have and develop sensory acuity
  5. Utilise behavioural flexibility
  6. Persevere until you succeed
  7. Align yourself with powerful people who will support you.
  8. Support others on their journey
C. Napoleon Hill's Success Model:
  1. Start with an idea or dream
  2. Develop a deep desire to achieve that dream
  3. Form a plan and keep refining it
  4. Take Action - Just Do It
  5. Persevere.
Each one of these formulas / models work powerfully when we engage our authenticity, which by my definition is the alignment between your head (thoughts), words (say), actions (do) and heart (feel). We wish you much luck on your journey to your personal success. As Henry Ford says "If you think you can or you think you can't - you are right"

Einstein's Formula for Success
Mostly the way to succeed is to find a model and repeat their formula. This is process is taught on NLP Practitioner Certification training and one of the leading models we have had in our recent history is Einstein. His success formula states -
Einstein said, "If A equals success, then the formula is: A=X+Y+Z.

X is work.
Y is play.
Z is keep your mouth shut."

We would love to hear from you on what your Success Formula/Models are.

How to Deal With Failure and Rejection

By

Photo: observatoriouned.org

Don't let anyone, or any rejection, keep you from what you want. ~ Ashley Tisdale
What should you do when you don't know what to do, when you just want to give up and quit?
How do you deal with the fear caused by failure or the trauma of rejection and loss?
Life doesn't always go according to our 'plan'. Have you noticed? As members of the human family, we all deal with the after-effects of failure and rejection - the sense that we're just not good enough, that we'll never have what we want, that maybe we don't deserve happiness or success. We mentally curl up into a ball and hope the world will just go away.

Fear and rejection are very subjective perceptions to perceived loss. They are based on a false assumption that the world (for you, at least) has just ended. You'll never recover. The pain will always be there. Life as you know it is finished. (Did I get that right?)
Unfortunately, that's not the best response. What happened... well, it happened. You can't change it. But you can change how you react and respond. You can become stronger, smarter and better at adapting to life's challenges. Try these eight keys to change your perception and rediscover the joy and peace that God promised you.

Admit it: OK, so maybe it didn't go as well as you'd hoped. You tried! That's more than most of the population does. Fear of failure or rejection can keep you from enjoying life's experiences and lessons. Fear prevents people from attending social events (I'm too shy.) from trying for a better job (I'm probably not good enough.) or from attempting anything new. Recognize that fear is a false mindset, not Truth (2 Tim. 1:7).

Expect it. Don't be tempted to feel that you're alone, the only one going through 'stuff' (I Cor. 10:13). Failure is not final, it's a step in the process we call Life. How many times does a toddler fall down before she masters walking? How many balls does a batter miss before he hits a home run? Failure is a learning process, not a judgment. The same is true of rejection. Don't allow other people's opinions or your own feelings of inadequacy overpower your opportunities. Life is meant to be enjoyed, regardless of the set-backs (John 10:10).

Rethink it. What happened to you is not you. I used to tell my daughter, "You can handle anything when you know it's temporary." Instead of believing that your life will be like this f-o-r-e-v-e-r, recognize that all things change (2 Cor. 4:18). There is life after death, divorce, job loss, rejection or failure of any kind. Look for a positive spin.

Learn from it. Every experience, both good and bad, is designed to move you forward, to teach and train you for the next stage of life. Ask yourself, "What can I take from this? What did I learn?" If it was a relationship failure, consider how you want to change before becoming involved again. There's a lesson in every situation if you look for it (Ps. 119:71).

Limit it. Don't magnify the issue, downsize it. It's only one event or issue in a lifetime of possibilities. Yes, life can be tragic at times, but tragedy is not the END. Remind yourself that you are strong (Joel 3:10), that God has already given you the power to overcome that situation (I John 5:4), and that you are more than a conqueror (Rom. 8:7). Don't let the devil have the last word.

Laugh at it. Laughter short-circuits fear, worry and depression. It really is the best medicine for whatever ails you (Prov. 17:22). Laughter pulls your thoughts and emotions away from self (poor me). It releases positive hormones that make you feel better and happier. If you can, find some humor in that negative situation. Laugh at yourself; "Wow, you should hear what I did/said/thought! Bet I'll know better the next time. Ha, ha, ha."

Forgive it. Often, our perceived failures are really other people's issues. Don't take responsibility for their mistakes. You can never control another person, only yourself (your own thoughts, words and actions). 'What they did' is just that - they did it. No matter how badly you've been treated, it isn't YOU, it's them.

Release negative feelings so they don't eat at you like mental acid. Forgiveness is always for your benefit. It's so important that Jesus made it part of the Lord's Prayer - so we would be reminded daily to forgive. When Peter asked how often to forgive, Jesus told him 70 times 7 (Matt. 18:22). Jesus, on the cross, prayed that God would forgive his persecutors (Luke 23:34). Can we, should we do less?

Forget it. Move on. The Apostle Paul killed Christians with great relish until he met Jesus on the road to Damascus. Suddenly, his entire life's focus was turned upside down. No matter what happened to you or what you've done, it's behind you. Paul's advice? Forget that stuff behind you, it's in the past and you can't change it. Instead, go after the goodness and blessing that's in front of you (Phil. 3:13 my paraphrase).

Jesus stated that He came specifically to give you 'life more abundantly' (John 10:10). However, you can't be open to that life, full of blessing and abundance beyond measure if you're hanging on to failure and rejection, the pains and hurts of yesterday.
Perhaps you've heard the story of the monkey who wanted some peanuts in the bottom of a jar. He'd reach in his hand and grab a fist-full of nuts, but then he couldn't remove his hand from the jar. He was trapped because he wouldn't let go!

When faced with failure or rejection, use what you can (lessons, ideas, insights) and let the rest go. Like an over-stuffed closet that has no room for new clothes, your mental and emotional health requires that you clean out the negatives to make room for more blessing, more happiness, more love, joy and peace.

Are you a Winner or a Quitter?

 Author: MarieLouiseFalk

Photo: 2.bp.blogspot.com

Winners never quit and quitters never win. We say so but we also mean winners do quit bad things at bad times. Quitters never quit bad things but stick to bad things. They quit good things in a bad timing. Ask the new recruited one if they are a winner or a quitter. They will know so they do not have to think about it.
How come some of us are quitters and winners? Is it by choice or were we born like that? Think of your own situation. It may be different in different times. Like when we were younger we might have been more of winners and the older we got the more quitters we became. How is it like that? If we are surrounded by negative people we tend to quit. That's why it is important to help the young ones today to choose the people they are surrounded with.

Look at the different approaches to quitters vs. winners. How does it appear?
Winners are more positive and seize the opportunity in everything. The quitters are more negative and see the problems in many ways. So how do we make them closer to each other? Is it obvious to change the negative person? Who decides what is right or wrong? It might be that the negative person is more objective to the issue and the positive one is so naïve. Make sure what is a good and bad in a situation and talk your way in to it. Keep in mind that we need different values of problems or hurdles. So the more we can be closer to each other the easier it will be. It is always more sides to it then just one. Let people in a discussion. Not just for letting them but for open up more for the solutions.

The more opportunities we rise, the more solutions we come up with the lesser time and space it will be for the negative solutions or quitters. Do like Mother Teresa did; do not fight the war be pro active for peace. Do not fight the negative but be pro active the positive. It sounds so easy you say and it is!
You just have to do it. The more people we are that think and act like this the less we have to focus on the hard stuff. Keep up the good work and be pro active the solutions. Turn off the TV because they tend to focus on more negative news. There is no value in good news unfortunately. Read only good news or good books that develop you. Watch movies that inspire you. Be prepared with a funny movie when you are down. It releases your endorphins and keeps you in good mood and a great health. Most of all share good stuff with the people you surround you with. It is a fact that the more you do and give the better the world will become. Be happy first then help others to be it. Together we are champions.

Don't Lose Sight Of The Vision

 By

Photo: urbanviewsweekly.com

Do you have a dream or vision that God has given you and you are uncertain about how to get there? Are you in transition, thus far the directions have been clear, but now the vision is unclear? Is your vision unclear?

In the Message Bible there is a passage of scripture found in Mark 8:22-25 which reads, "They arrived at Bethsaida. Some people brought a sightless man and begged Jesus to give him a healing touch. Taking him by the hand, he led him out of the village. He put spit in the man's eyes, laid hands on him, and asked, "Do you see anything?" He looked up. "I see men. They look like walking trees." So Jesus laid hands on his eyes again. The man looked hard and realized that he had recovered perfect sight, saw everything in bright, twenty-twenty focus."

There are times in pursing your life's purpose or pursuing success when your vision can become cloudy or a little unclear, especially if you are taking a leap of faith to the next level. Having unclear vision about your next step could be the launching pad you need to boldly go forth into something bigger and better than where you are. Your challenge is to hold firmly to your vision as you go to the next level. In other words, don't lose sight of the vision. Keep the vision before you by refreshing it.
In this passage of scripture there are several things that took place to help this man receive his sight. From this passage of scripture here are some practical strategies you can apply to your journey as you go to the next level in your business, ministry or life.

Strategies To Help Keep The Vision In Sight

1. Start by asking yourself the question - Can I See Anything Now?
If you only have a glimpse, remember the important thing is being able to see something.

2. Acknowledge that you can see something and then write down what you see even if it doesn't make much sense to you right now.
Writing down what you see puts your vision in plain sight. This helps you to stay focused.

3. Take yourself outside of the comfort zone of family and friends so that you can position yourself to receive clear vision and directions.
You may have to isolate yourself for a season to refocus.

4. Pray for another touch.
Through prayer and supplication you make your request known unto God. Spend time in prayer, meditation and the Word of God to receive another touch to make your vision clear.
Remember, Proverbs 29:18 says, "without a vision the people perish." Without revelation about your life's purpose you will perish. Your potential for success will be hindered. As you go through life don't let anything shake your confidence, causing you to stumble. Become the gatekeeper of your mind and eyes. Protect your vision - don't lose sight of it.

Conquering the Real Challenge of Staying Organized

 By

Photo: neatfreak.com

We all know that getting organized is important at home, in business, but most of all in life. Most would argue that the direct challenge would be "getting organized" and to a certain extent that statement would hold true. That would only be the initial challenge but does not shed light on the fact that we as people only thrive upon consistency. I would argue based on personal experience both in the field and out, that the true challenge is "staying organized."

Being a Professional Organizer has allowed me to gain real life experiences through various client projects. About 90% of the projects I have done have needed more than a quick fix. That allows both the client and I to view what is needed not just to reach the goal but to maintain the goal achieved.
So, you hire an organizer or you get down to business and really dedicate time and organize your space yourself; either way you achieve your goal. Well, what next? Every good organizer will give you tips on how to keep your new "face lift" looking amazing. A great organizer will assess you as a person and how the situation came about in the first place. In the event you took on a "d-i-y project" or didn't hire one of those great organizers let me be the first to tell you that you haven't lost yet.
I'm going to give you 5 solid steps that will help you stay organized:

1) Assess Your Bad Habits
When you take the time to assess your bad habits you have the chance to point out what needs to be improved. For example: You have problems putting things back exactly where you got them from and end up living them wherever you last had them. In this step of the process you would realize what your bad habits are that would lead you back towards a clutter filled space. It is best in this step that you be honest with yourself in your assessment. It is the most important part of the process.

2) Make New Habits
Now you are the only one that knows what your bad habits are. Take the time write down what the opposite action of what each of those bad habits would be. It almost sounds elementary but it is a simple way to recognize error and correct it. For example: You have assessed you have a bad habit of not putting things back in its proper place. You write down that you would put things back in its proper place. What you have done now is turn a bad habit into "a good habit" that would counter the prior negative action into a positive one.

3) Post Reminders
This would seem a little over the top to most; although most of us still struggle with this on a day-to-day basis. When I say post reminders it can be something as simple as checking a space before you leave and placing a reminder by the door; or labeling things for a quick reference; or even making a to-do list for things needed to be handled accordingly. In any event you should prepare yourself for the transition of retraining yourself into better habits.

4) Have a Plan for Errors
Everyone slips up once in a while and when that time comes it is better to be prepared than to just leave it as is. You should always make a backup plan that would seem natural for you to implement in the event an error in your positive transition takes place. For example: One day you were extremely busy and had completely forgotten that your Mother had requested you come over to assist her, to create a Facebook page. So you ran out of the door as soon as the reminder popped up on your phone; leaving a bag of half-eaten cookies, throw blanket, romance novel and empty cup right in the living room. When you return you go upstairs exhausted by your Mother's inability to adapt to present technology and you take a nap. By the time you get back downstairs hours later you notice the items laying there and handle the situation by putting everything where it needs to be placed.
In the event you don't have time or you've simply just forgotten, just make sure you have a plan in place. The example was an easy fix. But no matter how easy or difficult just remember to follow through.

5) Stick To the Blueprint of Your Organized Plan
When you first got organized you implemented a plan that would help you to achieve your goal. Now it is necessary to reference that to stay there. Whether things are labeled, simply have their own place, or there is a cohesive efficient design implemented, stick to the plan. It was put in place to get you organized and had served as a great companion in getting you there. If you always reference this plan and implement it, coupled with your 5 steps to staying organized you can evict clutter once and for all.

All of our situations are different and the steps are so simple that they can be adjusted to fit your unique situation. I would still stand by my initial claim that staying organized is the real challenge; whether that is fact or just opinion it still is vital to claiming your space against clutter.

Learning From Others To Achieve Your Own Success

 By

Photo: ideachampions.com

Learning from others is actually how we've learned just about everything we know! For many internet entrepreneurs this is how they've become successful marketing by simply 'duplicating' some of the most effective strategies they could find! The thing about this however is your success in NOT guaranteed due to variables such as changing market conditions, your own ambitions and even your personality! On the other hand using already proven or effective strategies is widely recommended being it simply makes sense!

Let's explore how you can become successful marketing online using already proven strategies to leave your own unique footprints on the web!

What Works For Your Needs
The internet is absolutely jam packed with varying tactics used to build businesses of all kinds however they all will NOT be appropriate for you! Select only the most effective strategies you can find that will help increase your chances of being successful marketing whatever it is you have to offer!

Learn Why the Strategy Works
It is more important to understand the 'premise' behind any strategy since you may in fact have to find alternate ways to implement it! Failure to understand the 'whats' and 'whys' will serve only to disrupt or hinder your ongoing education which will be required if you intend to be successful marketing online! Don't get too hung up with trying to implement the strategy in the same exact way since it may not be possible! On the other hand if you understand what you're trying to accomplish, you can more easily identify the best ways to put it to use!

Work Out the Kinks
Minor flaws may either be part of the original blueprint or perhaps developed over time due to changing conditions! It is vitally important for internet entrepreneurs to realize the environment in which they work can be a very dynamic one! With so many changes continuously occurring it's easy to understand why something that worked with great success previously may need to be modified to get similar results! The point here is don't expect any blueprints or strategies that you are copying to maintain the same effectiveness they formerly had!

Moderate to Suit Your Needs
Smooth out the edges by tailoring the strategy to your particular needs! Internet entrepreneurs by and large hardly every share the same level of skill sets just as every business will have different goals! This is why it's important to understand the premise behind any strategy you choose to work with so that you can 'create' a better or more comfortable fit for you and your business!

Shake or Stir as Needed
As previously discussed above the environment in which you are working is an ever changing one that requires your response! Don't tweak things to the way you like them or to make them more effective, and then simply sit back on your laurels! As things change so must you and your business strategy! With every little adjustment you make you're leaving that much more of a personal imprint on the strategy you are using!

Learning from others may not guarantee that we will be successful marketing on the internet but it definitely puts us on the right track! Although 'success leaves footprints' it is up to the individual to determine ONLY the most effective strategies they can use for their particular needs! Our discussion above talks about the 'process' involved in finding, modifying and applying any strategy that has had previous success for other internet entrepreneurs! The key is to recognize there will likely be a need for change and even ongoing modifications when using a strategy previously developed by another marketer! In doing so you're effectively leaving your own 'personal stamp' on yet another blueprint that one day will likely be copied once again!

5 Tips To Deal With Negative People Around You

 By

Photo: media1.onsugar.com

Have you ever been around negative people? If you have then you probably know that the experience can be quite exhausting. I have a friend who is negative most of the times. He can complain endlessly about his relatives, friends and coworkers. He is also very cynical about people around him, often doubting their purpose and intentions. Communicating with him is not always a good experience.

I often felt drained and exhausted after having a conversation with him. Most of the times we don`t talk for so long but I don`t have the energy to do anything after spending some time with him. It`s like a bad aftertaste after eating something bitter. It always took me some time to get rid of that bad effect. I am sure that you also deal with such people on a daily basis. In this article I have laid down some tips which can help you a lot to deal with pessimism around you. Let`s go through these tips and find the best approach to deal with negative people.

1. The most important advice I can give you is not to take part in the negativity of the people while having a conversation with them. The first time you start talking to a negative person, try to listen more and make minimum comments. You can offer help in between the conversation, whenever is needed. Let the person know that he is not alone. If a person keeps coming back to the same topic again and again then try to switch the topic. Try to do it often and you will see that the person will communicate in a better way after a couple of meetings.

2. It`s not a good idea to sit alone with a negative person. Sometimes you can`t handle so much of negativity at once. It`s better to have someone else around while you are conversing with a negative individual. In this way the negative energy will be divided among all the members of the group.
3. The comments made by a negative person should not be taken personally at all. Negative people can be quite critical most of the times. They can often pass critical comments which can be hurtful especially if they are directed at you. While observing the conversations of a negative person, you will notice that they have the same judgmental attitude towards everyone.

4. It is always good to help a person who is fighting with negativity and needs your help. But beware of the amount of time you are spending with them. Always remember that positivity as well as negativity is contagious. So it is your duty to find the optimistic friends. Positive people around you can have a great influence on every aspect of your life. It is a smart idea to set a limit and do not spend too much time with a negative person.

5. If you really want to help a person with a negative attitude then go ahead and find the area where they need your help. The most common reason for the negativity of a person is lack of warmth and love in their life. Most of the times negativity is the barrier that is created by an individual to protect himself from the world.

I would recommend you to go through these tips mentioned above and try to apply practically in your life. If nothing works in your situation and the person with whom you are dealing with is not someone very close to you then I would recommend you to maintain some distance and try to be around positive people.

The Importance Of Self Confidence

 Author: Rene Graeber

Photo: static8.depositphotos.com

What you need to achieve everything you want? Some would say that money, other that discipline and other would point to your innate skills. The point is that everything would be worthless if we lacked one thing: self confidence.
Of course, self confidence derives from knowing that you have the right type of skills and interesting goals to achieve. The rule of thumb says that the clearer the goal is, the higher self confidence gets. And, truth to be said, there is little people can do without it. Even the most capable body and mind won't do anything good without the self confidence. It form a base on which every human activity rests on. Without it, you won't achieve any success – you wouldn't even know what success means!
It is relatively easy to see if someone is self confident or not if only you know where to look. The way someone walks, communicates, works or socializes will tell you loads of the individual's self confidence or lack of it. Even a simple handshake can tell you a lot about his or her amount of self confidence.
A good thing about the self confidence is that it tends to infect other. Oftentimes even a single self-confident person can change the attitudes of everyone in a room. Sometimes it seems as if the world itself decided to help such man. A confident person attracts friendships, but commands respect, too.
Your self confidence forms the basis of everything else in your world
It is impossible to do anything for real if you're not self confident. Low level of confidence will slow down your steps and prevent you from taking initiative when you need it. Why? Because low self confidence is able to paralyze a man, body and soul at the time he or she needs to make a decision quickly. The old saying "you must stand for something or you will fall for anything" is true. And if you stand for something, only your self confidence will keep you together.
The good (or bad, depending on the point of view) thing is that the self confidence is neither genetic nor hereditary. Confidence has to be gained or learned, improved or practiced. It won't come to you al by itself, but you can easily rise it in your self.
The fighter and the wreck
"No pain, no gain" as the saying goes. What lets people to take risks and profit from that while most others are held back? The answer is: their levels of self confidence – they may make people risk, fight and lead others without any regard of failure. Remove it from someone, and all is left is a human wreck.
Be Confident: the only way to do it
Confidence is not just another asset. In today's world, self confidence is a basis of your survival; both at work and at home. A good job requires being good at the interview. Forcing a raise can work only if you are confident enough. Self confidence gets all the attention. This in turn brings acceptance love, peace and energy. The energy makes you a good worker and even better human. And this, in turn, causes your confidence to grow even more. Get to this upward spiral and watch how you entire life changes!

Become A Better You

 By

Photo: rolemommy.com

As a five year old girl, I was always fascinated by the concept of superwoman. The woman with incredible powers. She could fly, fight and her strength was out of this world. I thought to myself, when I grow up, I want to be superwoman. I wanted to have that incredible strength and prowess about me. I wanted to be able to do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. Fly, fight and give the bad guys a run for their money and best of all look hot (I really liked that part). It seemed like the way to live. I thought to myself "if superwoman existed, surely I could be one"

Well, am now an adult with no ability whatsoever to fly, fight or have near enough superwoman strength. To make matters worse, I don't even have a costume. However, I have come to realise that in spite of my inability to match the characteristics above, I am still a superwoman. Just a different kind. Inside everyone of us is the ability to give birth to dreams, ideas, plans, new personalities etc. We all have within us untapped and sometimes under utilized resources to create the impossible. Have you ever done something where you truly amazed yourself? Something you didn't quite believe you could do, but somehow you did it. You thought you'd surely die if you tried skydiving, but you did it only to realise you didn't die but a daring you unveiled as a result of that experience. You thought you'd never get the job, but you amazed yourself because not only did you get the job but your employers were really impressed with your interview.

Inside everyone of us is superhuman ability to be and do everything we've always wanted. To create the type of lives we desire, become the kind of person we've always wanted to be, the type of friends, siblings, parents we've always admired and the potential to realize every dream.
Irrespective of where you find yourself in life, you can be all you've always dreamed of, have all you've always wanted. The key is first in knowing that YOU can become all that.
I learnt recently that pencil (graphite) and diamonds are derived from the same source - Carbon. The difference b/w one product showing up as pencil and the other as diamond lies in the intense pressure and extreme temperature applied to make diamonds. Down in the earth's mantle, extreme temperature of about 1500 degrees centigrade and pressure of about 5000 times greater than surface pressure is applied to carbon and under this extreme condition, carbon becomes diamonds. One product, two different outcomes.

What will be your outcome? Pencil or Diamond. Untapped/underutilized or an amazing productive life. Like carbon, you have the potential to be either. You've got everything inside you to create your own reality, to be whoever and whatever you want. Break the barrier of race, age, gender, status, background and any limitation you can possibly think of and you will find unveiled Superwoman. Just a different kind.

Progress Is Needed in Our Path to Success

 By

Photo: m2blog.com.au

Almost of us work hard everyday, try to jump to a higher level of existence, where we'll be able to live without struggle, have more comfort, where we'll be able to work easier, but also enjoy doing things we like and have more time to spend with our loved ones, in few words have a successful life.
Our path to success can seem very unclear and at some point, have no idea what we need to do or wait for to be able to feel successful. Most people have different definitions of what success is and so it is crucial for the first step, to establish very well what we want. The first step in becoming successful is to know what your long term goal is and then establish a plan that will help you find happiness and success. If you are serious about living a fulfilling life and you truly want to be happy, then here are several things that you need to understand.

Find Motivation From Various Places
Being motivated is very important for success but you need various sources to ensure that you never run. Most people tend to only find motivation from a life partner or from family, but there are plenty of other reasons that can motivate you. Make sure you find at least 5 different things that motivate you to be more productive and then write them down on a piece of paper. Always keep these 5 things in mind and it will help you live everyday to the fullest because you will have all the motivation that you need and you passion for your goal will never turn off.

Visualize On A Daily Basis
A very important thing that you can do everyday is to visualize your success. Studies have shown that visualizing your success can actually help you reach your goals faster because you will always be positive about your situation. Understand that being positive does help you out and you should visualize often. When you visualize your success, you will be able to see what you want and this will motivate you to do something about it. You have to see the picture of your goal, believe in it, believe that you can do it, and don't lose faith.

Do Something Everyday That Will Help You Progress
Most people have monthly goals that they want to reach, but you should also have daily goals that allow you to achieve something on a daily basis. These can be little things that simply change your mindset and this little goal can certainly help push you everyday. Make it a habit to do something that will help you everyday so that you can feel success often. Several small goals will usually add up to your one big goal that you wanted to achieve all along. We all see that without progress we get nowhere, the progress is the fuel for your engine to continue and get successful.

Prepare Your Mindset Before You Go Sleep
If you make a list everyday and if you were not able to achieve everything from that list don't get depressed or finish your day grumpy. Find something to give your hope and faith back. Don't let your feelings and mindset to get drawn, wake them up with something, do whatever you like or make you feel good, just don't close your day disappointed, grumpy, angry, depressed. Remember, the way you close your day, that's the way you will get up in the morning. The thoughts you have in your mind when you go to sleep, those are the thoughts you will get when you get up in the morning. So prepare yourself for a good healthy sleeping.

Read Motivational Quotes Everyday
In order to progress in life, you need to be inspired by people that have been in your position. Look through the internet and try to find inspirational quotes that will help you feel very positive. This is very important because you need to see that becoming successful is very possible and it is not only for some selected individuals. "The secret to real happiness is progress. This makes you alive." is a great quote by Anthony Robbins. There are plenty more quotes out there on motivational quotes websites, YouTube clips, Facebook, blogs and more.

Don't Ever Quit
When it comes to succeeding, you need to fight yourself and to convince your mind that you will never quit. This is very tough to do because it is in everyone's nature to simply try and find the easiest way to success. Success will never come instantly and it will always require a lot of hard work. However, people tend to try something new and then quit right away once things don't work out perfectly. Focus on being able to have the right mindset and this will help you truly reach your goals. Don't change your mind frequently, because you will get anywhere.

Our life is very short and we all need to treat it like that. That's why we need to do something everyday that will help us reach our life goals and also accept the fact that we might not truly reach the goal. If it's a lifelong journey, we need to be patient. As we focus on your daily goals, we will begin to see that we are getting closer to our desired goals. We'll see the change every day and this is already our fuel to continue, because this shows us that we are on the right path, continue our work with much more passion and faith and don't get tired in the middle. This way we can assured that we'll reach the success and happiness.
