4. Lifestyle Changes

This takes the form of adopting healthier lifestyles, or eliminating lifestyles which can worsen the disorder. Usually, those who use alcohol, tobacco or other psychoactive drugs are advised to stop, since these can escalate generalized anxiety disorder. Recommended lifestyle adoptions include regular exercise, eating a healthy diet, avoiding stress and getting enough rest and/or sleep.
