Overcoming Failure - It's A Challenge That You Can Overcome

You may have heard of people encouraging you to bounce back from defeat or hardships. Well, talk is cheap, and I do not know about you, but sometimes, I struggle with trying to be resilient. However, over the years, I have learnt that overcoming failure is possible. It is a challenge in itself, and you can overcome it. I am being real with you. It may not be easy, but check out these points that I will be talking about today.
There is a saying that goes, "to err is human" and that is so true. None of us are perfect, so we are bound to make mistakes in life. What is important is that you learn from those mistakes. Mistakes are bound to happen, but a person who uses that mistake as a learning experience to propel him to greater heights is someone who is wise. In fact, you can even use that mistake to motivate you to succeed in future. That's how some people redeem themselves. And they do that in style. Overcoming failure can be accomplished when you know how you can learn from your past mistake and when you use that mistake to propel you to greater success.

It is important that you do not give up in your endeavors no matter how big the blunder was. I have made many huge blunders in the past, and the consequences cost me dearly. However, that does not mean I call it quits. That is really not an option when it comes to being resilient. Do not throw in the towel even when your circumstances seem bleak. The lack of success should not be a reason for you to quit. Think about the prize that lies ahead and push yourself toward that goal. Imagine how satisfied and fulfilled you will feel once you have accomplished it.

When you are trying to bounce back from a setback, you should always remind yourself that you can succeed. Assuring yourself plays a huge part in overcoming failure. It is through self assurance that many of today's professional athletes become successful in their sport. One particular example is Tiger Woods. He would go through the routine of talking to himself, saying that he can succeed in tournaments. Look at how successful he has become throughout his career.

I hope you have a better understanding about overcoming failure. Don't give up. Instead, keep assuring yourself and use that mistake to propel you to greater success.

Find Your Genius

You are a genius. You really are!

You may not be smarter, more talented or more motivated than most other people but that's not what's really important.
Think about the stereotypical genius that we see in the movies or in history books. Do they project an image of genius in all or even most aspects of their lives? No they don't. They more often than not have a very focused area or genius and in fact, many other aspects of their lives actually fall short.
Picture a scientific genius who has difficulty driving a car, or an artistic genius who becomes a hermit because he lacks social acumen. You can see that true genius is focused upon a narrow section of a person's life, not a global attribute by any measure. After all, Rain Man was a genius, right?
Like so many other things in life, genius is a two sided coin. When we tap into our particular genius we feel empowered, effective and more alive. But conversely, when we deny our genius, either because of social pressure or because of artificial restrictions we have placed upon ourselves, we feel ineffectual, small and depressed.
When you see a person who is achieving great success in life and is also projecting true happiness, you are witnessing a person who has tapped into their true genius and is putting it to good use. Rather than being envious of these people, you can benefit more by remembering them and modeling their behaviors. Celebrate their good fortune and tune into it. Remember that success leaves clues. This is the first and oftentimes the most difficult step in finding your own personal genius.
Once you adopt this way of accepting others you will quickly understand something critical to your life. These successful "geniuses" are not happy and productive due to a lack of deficiencies, nothing could be further from the truth. These people, regardless of intelligence, skills or talent are successful despite their deficiencies. What then is the key differentiator between them and so many others of us? The answer is "Focus". These people have chosen, yes, chosen to focus on their personal strengths above all else.
Does this mean that these people don't work at improving upon their weak areas? No it doesn't. In fact quite the opposite is true. You see, Success breeds Success and Failure breeds Failure. By focusing on your genius and putting it to work in positive and rewarding ways allows you to look at yourself objectively and with resourcefulness.
So exactly how does a person tune into his personal genius? It's at once a simple task and extraordinarily difficult. Intuitively you know where your interests lie, but we've also been programmed over the course of our lives to deny many of these interests as being indulgent distractions. As Shakespeare wrote, "To thine own self be true". Trust yourself, the answers are all inside of you. Everything else is an externality designed by others without regard to your true self. It's your life, no one knows how to live it better than you.
What you choose to focus upon will become the reality of your life. Choose to succeed. Choose to be happy. Choose to find your genius!

Success Secrets: The Simple Cures For The Fear Of Failure

There is nothing that keeps most people from achieving their goals and making their dreams come true than the fear of failure. It is one of the most common ghosts that snuff the dreams and aspirations of the majority of men and women all over the world. It doesn't really matter how this fear occurs. The point is that it is a common denominator in the lives of people who live lives that are devoid of passion. It is a cause of misery and unhappiness in the world. The following are ways through which you can conquer this fear.

The secret to success in life and in business is to simply be willing to take risks. The problem however is that the fear of the unknown usually keeps most people from taking the jump and trusting their instincts. The result of this is that most people usually die with all their potential.
The key to successfully conquering the fear of failure that results from not knowing what will happen has an interesting solution. The solution is to simply close your eyes and then go ahead and do whatever it is that you want to do. Simply put, to conquer the fear of failure, you must risk failure itself.

The reason this is so effective so far as conquering your fears is concerned is simply because as human beings, we tend to overestimate the obstacles in our lives and more often than not, we tend to underestimate the capacity that lies within us. When we actually risk failure and we succeed, the confidence that comes from the small victories we achieve will thus go a long way towards helping us build confidence in ourselves.

In case that we do not succeed after "just risking it", we get to realize that failure is not really as fatal as we thought. Risking it and actually failing at the attempt makes us stronger since it serves to fortify the belief that failing is not really the end of the road.

Another key to success so far as fear of failure is concerned involves changing our attitude towards failure. This can simply be done by trying to view life more like a game rather than a test. When we develop such an outlook, life becomes less threatening. It becomes something that we can enjoy and failure becomes a simple setback simply because when it is all said and done, there shall always be the next round.
