When you feel depressed, seek the support of your friends and family. They can serve you very well in such situations by lifting your spirits. Getting good company can be a very easy solution to get rid of depression and loneliness. This can help you to get the better of the mild depression case.
In many cases you may not be able to fight depression on your own. It might even be dangerous to try this out. Depression is also an illness like any other disease. In the serious cases you need a doctor's help to get rid of your disease completely. You have to seek professional help once you find that you are not able to win over the situation within a few days.
There can be a very significant stage of depression when you feel that you can't be helped. This is the time when you have to think of taking help to sure your depression. So even if it is winter you may try this out and get a lot of relief. Increased amount of sunlight may also help. Some experts also suggest lighting up your room with light similar to sunlight.
