Confidence - What You Need to Know

 By Lynn Bradley

You need to know that confidence comes in different sizes. One can have a lack of it, a small amount, a medium amount, a large amount, or over confidence. To be successful one must maintain the correct amount. Little confidence will cause you to hesitate to tackle difficult projects. Over confidence may cause one to go forward without making sure that plans are solid.
You may have great confidence and high expectations when beginning a project, but have it shrink when obstacles get tough. Your subconscious mind hears what you are thinking and saying. It must obey what it hears. It will work hard to make you successful when it hears great confidence, but when it hears your doubts and fears it will work in the other direction.
What you need is to maintain the correct amount of confidence. You need to have cautious optimism. Do not start something thinking that it is going to be easy. Realize that it is going to take a lot of effort, and that you may not succeed on the first or second tries, but have confidence that you will eventually be successful. This will keep you from being dejected when the going gets tough.
You must examine both positive and negative thoughts. Do not let fearful thoughts dominate your thinking, but make preparation to deal with the problems. Knowing this means that you can make plans to overcome the obstacles. This will boost positive thoughts even more and you will have a balanced approach to your goals. This will keep you from being under or over confident.
If you keep your confidence going at a steady pace, your subconscious mind will work in your favor. It is all about keeping your countenance steady. Do not permit your confidence to be tossed about by the difficulties of obstacles. Keep telling yourself that you can do it, but it will take some time and effort. Each time you succeed you will have fewer doubts and more optimism.
You need to know that keeping your confidence up, requires you to have people around you who are positive minded and optimistic. Those who are always complaining about how hard life is and who tell you of all their troubles drain you of positive energy. You should be nice to them, but spend as little time with them as possible. You need upbeat, successful people who are bubbling over with enthusiasm to keep you on a positive course.
You need to know that most successful people have had failures in their life, but they kept trying and eventually discovered what works for them. We all have different abilities and ways of doing things. Finding your niche is simply discovering where in the workplace your talents and temperaments fit. It not only must be the right profession, but also the right people that you can work with.
When you find your special place, you will be able to hone your skills and soar like a bird. It may take you some time to discover how to use your unique abilities to overcome the obstacles. You may fail a time or two, but if you keep your keep trying with optimism you will succeed. You will be richly rewarded for your trouble, both financially and with a feeling of fulfillment.
God gives everyone special talents so that they can have faith in their abilities. If you examine your inner feelings closely, you will discover that there is some project or occupation that is drawing you. That is the Lord's way of telling you to get busy fulfilling the dream he has placed on your heart. Everyone was cut out for something that fits their abilities and temperaments exactly. The Lord is also calling you obey the gospel of his son and be a member of his covenant.
If you are unfamiliar with the Bible, you need the book, "Climbing the Heavenly Stairs." It will guide you to what you need to do to be acceptable to God. The following link will show you more. http://thelynnbradleybook.com.
